A case of I told you so...

I had posted about Sven's formation for the English soccer team and I had said that its a doomed move. Look what happened yesterday. 4-5-1 is not the ideal formation with the players on the pitch. Becks is not a holding mid-fielder. Why try and mould him into one when you have Parker and Butt? The problem is that Sven loves a few players and can't do without them, which leads to an imbalance in the side. They look more and more like the ManUtd team of last season where they would create chances but were not able to capitalise on any. You won't get any goals having one man up front and that also someone like Owen. He doesn't help in the buildup, he needs the ball to be fed to him around the penalty area. Won't do if the team has any hopes to win the World Cup. Sven has his days numbered. It won't make a difference what he says, it would be upto the FA. Now England needs to win both against Austria and Poland to qualify.
